WHAT TO EAT BEFORE EXERCISE

1/ When is the ideal pre-workout snack time?

Most snacks work best 30 minutes before the session, and some can be consumed right before it. If you have more than an hour before your workout, better get a light meal than a snack instead!

2/ What is the best pre-workout snack?

A good pre-workout snack is light, mostly carbs (15–30 g), a touch of protein (≤10 g), and not too much fat (3–8 g) or fiber (1–3 g). Because carbs are fuel.

3/ What to avoid? 

Skip foods that are very fatty (over 10 g of fat) or very fibrous (over 5 g of fiber), they digest slowly and can feel heavy. Also be careful with sugar: they can give quick energy but also sudden crashes (aim for less than 20 g of added sugar)
