1. When is the ideal post-workout snack time?
Timing is less critical for muscle growth than your overall diet quality. However, if you want to chill after your workout, or you feel like your body needs nourishment, do it!
2. What is the best post-workout snack?
Your body needs carbs to refill energy and protein to repair muscles. Ideally, get a proper meal. If you cannot do it, get a balanced snack: carbs 20–40 g, protein 5–25 g, and low to moderate fat 3–10 g.
3. What to avoid?
Avoid very sugary snacks (20 g+ added sugar) and very fatty foods (10 g+ fat). They don’t help recovery and slow digestion. Be careful with nut-based treats, they are often mostly fats.
